Training
Competency Levels
MCESG has three levels of qualification that have been identified as minimum credentials necessary to address the needs of our served agencies and to assume the various roles and responsibilities identified in the communications plan.
Level 1 Qualification
Introductory training for all voting members
- Participants will complete FEMA IS- 100, IS-700, and ARRL Basic EmComms.
- Local training includes Incident Comms, Message Handling and WinLink.
Level 2 Qualification
Assignment in the EOC or beyond Manatee County
- Participants shall complete IS-200, IS-800 and ARRL Intermediate EmComms.
- Participants are encouraged to attend EOC Orientation and Hands-On Training.
Level 3 Qualification
Section Leadership Appointees
- Leaders will complete FEMA Development and Advanced EmComms.
- Leaders should complete FEMA G-300, and G-400 when available locally.
